Double Membrane Roofs

Qingdao Haiyue Double Membrane Roofs (Roof‑Mounted Type)

Quality & Safety

The membrane is high-frequency welded, ensuring strong, durable seams and excellent gas‑tightness.

The outer membrane is UV-resistant, weatherproof, anti‑mould, and flame‑retardant (B1 class).

Equipped with pressure relief valves, check valves, inspection ports, and branch pipe connections for safe operation.

The membrane system is pre‑fabricated in the factory, significantly reducing on‑site installation time.

Qingdao Haiyue double membrane roofs are gas storage systems installed directly on top of anaerobic digesters. They combine the tank roof and gas storage into a single unit, requiring no additional floor space.

How does it work?

The gas holder consists of two membrane layers. The outer membrane forms a dome‑shaped roof, made of UV-resistant and weatherproof PVC material to protect the inner structure. The inner membrane is in direct contact with biogas, rising with increasing gas production and lowering as gas is consumed.

A blower continuously supplies air between the outer and inner membranes, keeping the outer membrane taut and maintaining a constant internal pressure. The storage pressure is typically from 500 to 2000 Pa, and the volume can be customised according to client requirements.

Why choose roof‑mounted installation?

Space‑saving: No separate land occupation – especially suitable for biogas plants with limited space.

Cost‑saving: Mounted on the digester roof, it combines gas storage, tank covering, insulation and odour control – no separate roof or ground‑based gas holder needed, lowering overall costs.

Fast installation: The membrane system is pre‑fabricated in the factory, which greatly reduces on‑site installation time. We can customise the storage volume according to your tank dimensions and gas storage needs.

If you are looking for a space‑saving, cost‑effective, and quick‑to‑install gas storage solution for your biogas plant, double membrane roofs are a choice worth considering. Contact us for more information.
